Buying clothes - why?

I havent bought nearly as many clothes as before. But I still go to Adidas and Comme des Garcon when I am in Tokyo. I finally figured out why. For Adidas, it's because I almost always find sth that's simple but handsome enough, and that I cant find in HK. For Comme, its that, plus a bit more - I found myself marveling at how Comme clothes are made...and really, many of them are "work of art". You have a sense that "if I dont buy this piece...they wont do it again...and it's gone forever". So there's almost a "collector" mindset to buying at Comme (thanks to Cherry for pointing this out! - no wonder she's been buying so much...and clearly that made her one of the biggest "collectors" I know ;>) This is esp true for Junya. Their stuff is just amazing! Work of art, indeed... (PS - bought a reversible jacket, it's a normal jacket on one side and a Levi's jacket on the other side!! Amazing...can keep for life, as Cherry said)
