Art journal #103: Yang Shaobin @ UCCA

Interesting small show though I was hoping to see Zhang Huan's smoking incense-statues - which unfortunately closed a few days ago.

Inside one of the UCCA halls, two lines of Yang style oil paintings lining both walls - one side are the politicians who attended the Copenhagen Summit, the other are nameless individuals, portraits of those who suffered from disasters (flood, typhoon, earthquake) supposedly caused by global warming/climate change. Aesthetically interesting, but isnt it a bit passe and tired to be talking about the politics of climate change...etc?!
