Downfall of BAPE

Mystery solved (at least for me) - with the $3mUSD price tag for BAPE comes $32mUSD of debt - so the enterprise value is $35m, which makes more sense given that afterall BAPE is onceindeed a ultracool brand thats known not just in Japan, Asia but actually globally among the subculture fan base. Interesting description of how BAPE tried to stay at the sweetspot of the volume vs. brand cachet matrix (a new framework for me!) - but at the end, quest for volume and profit brought down its subcultural coolness as the empire got too big for its own good. But of course HK, Taiwan and China consumers came to the rescue, in the form of an I.T takeover. May we wish them live happily ever after.
