Are blogs dying? Do we only have attention span for 140 characters at a time? I have taken up weibo not just because of the immediacy. The interface, to have photos uploaded with text, is even easier than for blogs. Both are supposedly permanent record that will reside in the cloud forever (well actually not 100% sure if Sina will keep everything?). But what do we want as record keeper? How do we want to express ourselves? Will we be more comfortable having weibo or blog as our digital persona - or really, neither?

Weibo vs. blog?
Are blogs dying? Do we only have attention span for 140 characters at a time? I have taken up weibo not just because of the immediacy. The interface, to have photos uploaded with text, is even easier than for blogs. Both are supposedly permanent record that will reside in the cloud forever (well actually not 100% sure if Sina will keep everything?). But what do we want as record keeper? How do we want to express ourselves? Will we be more comfortable having weibo or blog as our digital persona - or really, neither?
