Photo-taking

Loved this new song by Eason Chan called 沙龍. Lyrics by Wyman. Which sparkled a thought – unlike many other activities, you only take photos when you are happy and you want to record great happy moments (journalists aside, when they go to war zones…etc). Photo-taking, at least for individuals, is a “purely for pleasure” activity in that sense. Whereas, you drink whether you are happy or not, you write diaries of good and bad happenings, and you spill your beans and talk to your friends both when you are happy or upset. But, you will never say, OMG I am so sad, or I am crying, let’s take a photo. So, that makes photo-taking unique in a sense. It is one of the few activities that always have a happy association.
