Art Journal #37: Museo Fortuny

Truly eye opening from a curatorial standpoint. Of course there are many ways to curate. It can be a simple solo/retrospective. Or a themed exhibition. Or a group shows replicating the country's art lineage. But Fortuny did an amazing job in putting together old and new works, antique, modern and contemporary altogether, in great harmony. Downstairs were contemporary works. Upstairs, the Fontana's, Lee U Fan's, impressionist works and ancient Egpytian statues mixed perfectly. The long queue was well worth it (although I hadnt had such crazy fight-for-your-life queuing experience for a while!!)
