Art journal #82: Bruce Nauman, Days @ MOMA

The only special show at MOMA this time thats interesting is sth that I saw before, but dont quite remember. Bruce Nauman is showing his work "Days" that he showed at the Venice Bienniale 2009 in the US Pavilion.

MOMA did it full justice though (since the US Pavilion was very cramped in Venice). The work was showed in a spacious hall, recordings of different voices saying Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, ...etc in different pace, order, and tone. As you walk across the hall, you sense the passage of time (remind me of Sui Jianguo's video work somehow!) and allow you a moment to reflect how you pace through your seven days in a week - in a mad rush, with hope towards the next day, in constant pain, or barely remembering how each day passes?

Just read its Doryun Chong that put together the show - bravo! Loved it.
