My biggest concern for HK used to be about the lack of upward mobility for the younger generation. Clearly there are far bigger worry, when the wider population is reacting like this. What is the underlying culture in us, that will have us look so inwards and myopic? To care just for ourselves when there's far broader tragedy happening? How can we survive any blow at all, should sth like this happen?
