Pretty amazing story. Though the first Hirst show in HK was terrible, all 3 eds of the frontdoor gold statue are sold (to Asian buyers); and Gagosian, despite slow momentum in Europe, is clearly a force to be reckoned with, and his skills, network, mystique and own collection is unrivalled. Shocked to read he does a $1bn of sales a year, more than Sothebys! (is that even possible, by one single person over an entire listed enterprise and franchise?!) Loved the fact that he's seen as living as lavish a lifestyle as his clients! Cant say that for most in professional service....! Monday, April 4, 2011
