Art journal #123: Stanley Wong 30x30 at OCT Art&Design

Interesting show with Stanley responding to works from 30 artists he invited. The many calligraphic works are interesting. Craig Au Yeung's food post-it's are fun to look at. I have always like Freeman Lau's chairs if not a bit 'too pretty'. He Jian-Ping's poster of Jiang and Mao is more design than art, but good. Ma Ke's collection of old farmer clothes shouted with history and emotion. As for Stanley's work, I find 'Lanwei' captivating.

The OCT A&D Gallery space is fantastic, and no wonder artists want to show there! Its transformed from an old warehouse, with glass curtain walls added on a hexagon steel structure. OCT is said to be the first to bring culture industry into its core business after approval of SASAC - impressive! Why didnt more HK developers discover this route to create brand and raise value of their real estates?
